Makerere University Guest House , Kampala

Makerere University  Guest house is  located at the heart of  Makerere University ,seven minutes drive from Kampala’s general Post Office.It is fully owned by the University Council and it started way back in 1964, It can be easily reached by public transport or private means and is an ideal base for visiting the city.  
Guest house has had some face lift. It currently has twenty two modern rooms in total, up from the initial eleven rooms which it started with in 1964.There are however prospects to re-develop it into a modern hotel as soon as funds are available.

The Guest House has both Single and Double rooms, all equipped withindividual fans, washrooms, intercom connection for your internal communication, connectivity for international calls, points of internet access ,TV Sets.. For your comfort and convenience, the Makerere University Guest House has designated areas for smoking and non smoking.
They run a restaurant which serves both local and continental dishes which opens 16 hours a day alongside a bar which serves a variety of drinks with same hours of operation. The restaurant and the bar are tastefully decorated, serving ala’carte meals and African Dishes with trained and able staff, always at your service. with a highly regarded   exceptional Cuisine
